Kuala Lumpur Cookery

A collection of favourite family recipes collected from private homes and restaurants in and around Kuala Lumpur

In the 1970s this extremely charming (if a little eccentric) cookbook was put together to raise money for Pure Life Society, a charity with the aim of promoting multiracial and multireligious understanding through lectures, forums and programmes.

Family recipes were submitted and shared and range from cucumber sandwiches (submitted by a Miss Cecily Prism), to Toothless Delight (Miss Amy Justin De Silva) and Malay Sambal Tumis Kerang (Cik Zaiton Binte Tana). You won't find another cook book quite like this one.

Dotted throughout the book are 70s adverts and illustrations, making this a real time capsule.

Book is in used condition, with wear to the front cover and spine. Pages, however, remain clean and intact. Rare for a cookbook!
