The Romance of Food by Barbara Cartland
Developed with her private chef, Nigel Gordon, The Romance of Food will show you "how the Art of Cooking can inspire, stimulate and satisfy and how seductive a gorgeous dish can be."
Cartland offers (often hilarious) footnotes on every recipe, with insights such as "In Morocco the Moors believed implicitly that Honey was a love stimulant and large quantities of Honey were used in their marriage ceremonies, which often became sex orgies.", and "This is a fabulous dish and I have never known a man who was not thrilled with it and relaxed and very amenable after eating it. Every ingredient is good for health and sex."
All photographs were taken at Cartland's home using her own backdrops and ornaments. Illustrations by Roger Hall.
